our story...

The Dress Shop is a retail women's clothing store that opened in 1982 in East Aurora, New York, with the goal of providing a collection of unique and creative clothing for the women of East Aurora and Western New York. The positive response we saw with this first store prompted us to open a second shop in 1987, in the Allentown district of Buffalo.

We search out and provide the most interesting, creative and fabulous clothing we can find (as is expected by our oh-so-interesting clientele...) Some of our regular lines are: Cut Loose, Flax, Free People, Urban Outfitters, Kiko and Anthropologie, to name a few.

As well, we're always looking for, and trying, new companies, those that may not have "made a name" yet, and we bring the most exciting of these companies into the stores for our customers.

Our web-site is designed to show our newest lines to our customers, so that they might be enticed into coming into the store to see, touch and wear our latest.
